Recycled Aluminum: The Future of Green Building
Sarah Jenkins
Sustainability Director
The construction industry accounts for a significant portion of global carbon emissions. The shift towards sustainable materials is no longer optional; it is imperative.
Secondary aluminum uses only 5% of the energy required to produce primary aluminum from bauxite ore. This massive energy saving directly translates to a lower carbon footprint for the entire building project.
Quality Without Compromise
Many assume recycled materials mean lower quality. In aluminum extrusion, this is a myth. By carefully sorting and alloying secondary billets, we achieve the exact same structural integrity and surface finish as primary aluminum, fully compliant with structural glazing standards.
